One of the biggest match-winners for Pakistan, Shahid Afridi has been a controversial figure, on and off the field. The stylish all-rounder celebrates his birthday on March 1, but his age, like always, is once again a topic of discussion. While he announced on Twitter, that he turned 44, his autobiography suggests, that he would 46. On the other hand, his age on various websites is only 41.
Here’s what he tweeted, “Thank you very much for all the lovely birthday wishes – 44 today! My family and my fans are my biggest assets. Really enjoying my stint with Multan and hope to produce match-winning performances for all MS fans.”

Earlier, Afridi had said that he wants to set up an academy in PoK and is keen to bring the game to the locals. According to a report in the Nation, Afridi said that he is eager to be a part of KPL. “I will try my best to do as much as I can for KPL. My heart wants me to play with every KPL franchise. The condition I have put on myself for playing in KPL is that a cricket academy will be set up in Kashmir,” he said.
