India vs England: England Bowlers Were Brilliant, Made Our Lives Difficult-Virat Kohli
India captain Virat Kohli credited England new ball bowlers for great bowling and said ‘they made life difficult’ for India’s top order. India recovered nicely to post 156/6 in the alotted 20 overs but it wasn’t enough as England ran away with the game and took 2-1 series lead in five match series.
“England bowlers were brilliant with the new ball, made our lives difficult. We tried to come back, I don’t think our body language in the second innings. You need to figure out which other all-rounder can be featured. With the ball, Hardik is coming along nicely,” Kohli said.
He also backed KL Rahul who is going through a lean patch. Rahul was dismissed for a duck off Mark Wood.
“If that helps the team, then sure. You don’t want to play knocks which don’t help the team in any way. It was a bit difficult to bat against the new ball. Their bowlers were hitting good areas. We got one little partnership, it was important for me to bat deep. The case was to get set and try to get a decent total. I was going through a lean patch two days back. He (KL Rahul) has been a champions player. He’l continue to be one of our main players along with Rohit at the top of the order. It’s a matter of five-six balls in this format. If you lose the toss, embrace what’s been asked of you, ” he added.
